PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This loft retrofit changed a room used for storage into a painter’s studio and a regular bedroom into a master bedroom with a view. (For stargazing and lightning storms) By removing the knee walls in the studio, the wasted attic space behind became available and was used to build in a custom desk with exceptional storage and an amazing view. The low ceiling was removed to create a great feeling of space and openness, that, along with abundant natural light feels much larger than before.
