We believe the best guarantee is the one you never have to use, therefore, we build quality into every product. On skylights we offer the VELUX 20/10/5 years limited warranty. This warranty applies to products manufactured between January 1, 2001 - February 28, 2010.
- 20 Years on seal failure (moisture between glass panes)
- 10 Years for parts for defective skylights, roof windows and flashings
- 10 Years on Sun Tunnel Skylights® for defective parts, rust corrosion and deterioration
- 5 Years for defective parts on electrical systems and sunscreening products

Review: The guarantee that Velux offers on their products and the service that they give in addressing any warranty issues, is one of the main reasons we recommend their products so much. We end up having very few warranty issues on the skylights and their flashing systems, but if we do, Velux works with us and our client to remedy the situation very quickly.
The 20 year guarantee on the glass for seal failure is incredible. Over the past 26 years, we have only had 2 units that have suffered seal failure. Considering we have installed over 15,000 Velux skylights, that is an incredible record.

The Model TMR is a rigid VELUX Sun Tunnel Skylight® that is perfect for installations which require longer tunnel length and installations facing all exposures.
Available in 10" and 14" diameters. 
The Sun Tunnel Skylight emits passive light from the sun without the heat emitted by electrical light sources.
Highly reflective rigid tunnel
The TMR rigid Sun Tunnel Skylight features a highly reflective tunnel that provides brighter, whiter light output in any application. This makes the Model TMR great for most applications, even those with long tunnel runs or those in areas with less sunlight.
Pitched metal flashing
The TMR features an innovative one-piece pitched metal flashing that is designed to keep out the elements while providing the optimal angle for gathering light from all directions.
Ceiling frame
The TMR comes with a pre-assembled ceiling ring and paintable ceiling trim ring to complete any look.
Integrated flashing system
The standard Model TMR Sun Tunnel is designed for low profile roofing materials such as shingles and shakes. Tile flashing is also available.
Installation slope
The TMR Sun Tunnel installs on roofs with slopes between 15° (3:12) and 60° (20:12).

Tunnel length
The standard TMR Sun Tunnel Skylight kit will span 43" with a straight run. Additional tunnel is sold separately. The maximum recommended tunnel length is 14' for size 010 and 18' for size 014.
Dome
Domes are available in standard acrylic or high-impact polycarbonate for hurricane prone areas (approximate 5 week delivery time).
Dual diffuser
TMR Sun Tunnel Skylight features a dual diffuser that reduces the chance of condensation and increases energy efficiency. It also provides even light distribution through a frosted diffuser preventing hot spots.
Quick and easy installation
TMR Sun Tunnel Skylight installation is quick, easy and can be completed in just two hours with only basic carpentry skills required.

Night light kit
The ZTL Night Light Kit enables flexible and rigid VELUX Sun Tunnel skylights to be used as a light source even at night.
Manual Lightblock Shade 
Available for 10" and 14" Sun Tunnels.

Tile flashing kit 
A tile flashing kit is available for Sun Tunnel Skylights being installed on tile roofs.
Extension tubes

For applications where the Sun Tunnel Skylight dome needs to be raised above the height of our standard product.

Review: When we are installing a sun tunnel that will not be on a south facing roofline we like to use the pitched sun tunnel. The raised framework of this sun tunnel, allows it to have better exposure to the sun when it's on an east/north/west facing roofline (it's always facing straight up to the sky). Although the look is a little more prominent on the roofline, the extra amount of light it generates, is well worth it. We also really like that the entire exterior flashing is moulded from one piece of aluminum, so there are no seams in the flashing of this unit. Our clients are always amazed at the amount of light that comes from these small tubular skylights. It's the best value in sunshine that we can offer our clients!
