Review: This is the blind that we install the least often. Because most skylights in our area are far overhead, they are difficult to access and cleaning is challenging. Because any type of venetian blind tends to be harder to clean than other kinds of blinds, we don't often recommend it.
From a functionality standpoint, the venetian blind does offer the most versatility of light control, while still allowing viewing through the skylight due to the different angles that the slats can be set to.
USER TIP: IN THE WINTER
When a blind is closed during cold weather, the heat of the house does not reach the glass and keep it warm. This can cause condensation to form more readily between the blind and the skylight. So remember to open your blinds everyday, to allow air movement to reach the glass.
